The Travel Capital team includes individuals who have enjoyed
considerable success in the establishment, management and
sale of their own travel/travel technology companies. We have
also gained experience as senior managers in industry leading
organisations such as Sabre and Thomson (TUI).
Travel Capital draws on the resources of an advisory board
of individuals with considerable blue chip experience in the
fields of accounting, corporate finance and law. Travel Capital
is also able to call on the expertise from its wide network
of industry contacts, including former and current Board level
executives of major travel and travel technology companies,
GDSs, telecommunication companies and institutional venture
capital firms.

Gerry

Gerry is a seasoned veteran with more than 17 years
experience in the travel industry. Gerry joined Thomson
Travel in 1986, responsible for the product marketing
of brands as diverse as Wintersports and Skytours. In
1991, he moved to Worldspan global distribution system,
becoming Director - Northern Europe, helping to grow
the company's GDS market share, especially in the leisure
sector. In 1997 Gerry co-founded and was joint CEO and
Commercial Director of Gradient
Solutions, a Dublin-based travel technology specialist.
With a record of rapid and profitable growth, and a
customer list including many of Europe's largest travel
companies and airlines, Gradient was acquired by The
Sabre
Group, Inc. in August 2000. Following the acquisition
until August 2002, Gerry headed up Sabre EMEA's London-based
business development practice.
Gerry founded Travel Capital in September 2002.
In 2000, Gerry was judged as amongst Ireland's Top 20 Entrepreneurs by Business Plus magazine. Gerry is business advisor to the Enterprise Ireland (Irish government agency) Entrepreneur Course.
